Jacco van der Kooij is a SaaS go to market expert, mentor and author and the founder of Winning By Design, a Silicon Valley based B2B sales expertise firm with offices across the globe. Jacco is passionate about accelerating the growth of sales teams, and is a globally recognised thought leader, having authored eight books including ‘Blueprints of a Sales SaaS Organization’, and has been featured in many publications, including the Harvard Business Review. He is also a regular keynote speaker at conferences across the world including SaaStock, Dreamforce, SaaS Growth and MarketingProfs.

Winning by Design helps the next generation of SaaS businesses, including many of Notion's portfolio companies, to transform their sales operations. His team’s work is based on experience gained from working with over 150 SaaS startups and corporates. Prior to founding Winning By Design, Jacco sat as VP of Corporate Strategy at Qumu (acquired by Rimage), and was VP of Worldwide Sales at Technicolor and Kontiki.

Jacco has been working with Notion as an Expert since 2018. As a sales mentor, he works with our portfolio companies to transform their sales operations and accelerate growth. He also runs regular workshops for our portfolio, like ‘Strategic Sales workshop - How to sell larger deals’ and ‘Exploring SaaS Sales Metrics’ as well as writing strategic articles like ‘Crossing the Atlantic, Professional Perspectives: Jacco Van Der Kooij’ and featuring in our podcasts like ‘Talking Revenue Growth and the Science of Sales’.

Jacco enjoys doing business from his van while traveling the coast of California.
