Stephen Millard, Chief Platform Officer, shares his thoughts on the evolution of the team.

As we enter 2021, I am delighted to announce three new additions to the Notion Platform team - Jan Irwin, Michelle Cheng and Abbie England - further enhancing our ability to deliver a world class experience to our growing family of extraordinary SaaS founders and teams.

Jan joined us at the end of 2020 and is our first Product Manager, responsible for building our tech stack to find, engage and support the most ambitious European SaaS Founders. Jan joins us from Hussle, a B2C double sided gym marketplace where he led the discovery and delivery of the B2B product, a far reach from his first job hustling Cambridge tourists to take a punt on his punt! You can learn more about Jan here.

Michelle joined us at the start of 2021 as our new Head of Talent. Michelle will be leading our talent practice and will be working across our portfolio to support our founders on their journey to become better leaders, hire extraordinary people and build high performing teams. Michelle grew up near the Canadian Rockies in a family of entrepreneurs and her journey took her to Accenture for six years and then on to London for her MBA, which she completes later this year. You can learn more about Michelle here.

Abbie also joined us in January as a Marketing and Content Admin Assistant supporting Claire Walker on Notion Platform and Nikita Thakrar on Included (our global VC diversity fellowship programme). This is Abbie’s first role out of university and she is already making a great impact. You can learn more about Abbie here.

2020 was a roller coaster of a year for us all and you can read more about our experience as Notion Capital and Notion Platform in Claire’s retrospective piece here. We learnt a lot and were bolstered by the addition of Andy Leaver as our first Operating Partner. Andy set a new high bar for the value-add experience we offer our portfolio, something we will be building on in 2021.

I’m delighted to work with such an extraordinary team and these three new additions - alongside Claire Walker, Joshua Olusanya, Andy Leaver and our extended team of Executives in Residence and industry experts - will help us to continue to innovate and improve, stretching the boundaries of value-add investing and enriching the experience we offer our founders.
