Announcing two exciting new hires at Notion

We are delighted to announce two important new hires at Notion: Charlotte Salasky as Investor Relations Director and Jonathan Groves as General Counsel.

At Notion, we are no longer a small emerging manager. We manage over $500m of capital on behalf of some of the most respected and experienced investors in the world. In the ten years since we founded the firm, we have been steadily building out our capabilities and infrastructure to the levels expected by such investors and necessary for a sustainable market-leading VC.

The Notion Platform was the first of these investments: dedicated post-investment support capabilities covering strategy, talent and community led by Stephen Millard. The services we provide are already viewed as genuinely market-leading in Europe with a massive Net Promoter Score from our portfolio company Founders & CEOs (average 9.1/10 score).

In parallel we built out capabilities in Compliance and Finance, including capturing data and insights from our portfolio of 60+ B2B SaaS and enterprise tech investments in Europe, a unique and extremely valuable asset for Notion.

These latest two hires complete the picture. Legal to help improve our own investment agility internally as well as support portfolio companies in their legal needs where possible. And finally, Investor Relations, a critical but to date under-invested area for us at Notion to help support the lifeblood of our business.

Jonathan is an experienced lawyer with a career background at Ashfords and Macfarlanes. He worked for Notion as a secondee initially but has now joined fulltime and brings a wealth of experience. We will continue to maintain valued relationships with external law firms, including Ashfords, Osborne Clarke and Wilson Sonsini, but Jonathan will help coordinate these activities and drive efficiency.

Charlotte joins from private equity placement agent Asante Capital where she spearheaded raises for respected VCs such a Creandum and worked with a number of growth focused technology GPs including Summit Partners in Europe and Potentia Capital in Australia. A joint UK / US citizen who is passionate about the venture ecosystem, Charlotte has an MBA from London Business School. Like most of the Notion team she has ‘walked a mile in the shoes’ of our founders having led Marketing at a tech start up in New York in her early career. As well as building and managing LP relationships for the firm, she will support and advise portfolio companies on their own fundraises.

I am tremendously excited about what the future holds with these two on board.

Stephen
