I love games; physical, virtual, even psychological, if the plot demands it. I am a games addict, and I tend to see my life as a game too, made up of challenges and levels
My tutorial level was set in a household where both my parents were entrepreneurs, which meant I had a lot of time by myself. In that time, I picked up a deep love for tech. Watching tech YouTube videos, making my own, and tinkering with gadgets became my favourite pastime.
After school, I started with the typical Indian starter pack: An accounting degree and a stint in audit. During my time in audit, I had the opportunity to work with multiple Fortune 100 asset managers, through which I gained a fascination in investments.
Like a true finance bot, the natural next step for me was to upgrade my armour, get a master's degree, and become a banker. However, my plans got wrecked halfway through when I decided to help a friend build a start-up. Through that experience, I saw the effort and joy that goes into building and wanted to find my own spark.
With the help of good mentors, I realised I could bring my interests in finance and tech together into a path which I would genuinely enjoy. Thus, I sought a career where I could help finance bring the best technologies to the planet, and in the process create "shareholder value" for the most deserving shareholders - the founders.
And that is how I landed on my current level, playing as an investor at Notion Capital. In this stage, I see my character as a sponge. I aim to soak up the good from my seniors, fill the gaps where the team needs help, and most importantly, stretch and expand myself and Notion in every direction to ultimately find and back the best founders.
I am fascinated by Vertical AI firms specialising in Insurance, Banking and Investments. I have a product-heavy approach towards my analysis and believe that great products will sell regardless of other factors over time.
