Cledara

Brad Van Leeuwen is the Co-Founder & COO at Cledara. Brad has over 10 years of experience in the financial technology industry. Brad started their career as a Board Observer at TAM FAKTORING A.Ş. in 2012. In 2015, they became a Non Executive Board Member at NoviCap and also started working at dopay as the Chief Partnerships Officer. Brad held this position for three years before joining Railsbank in 2018 as the VP of Partnerships and Marketing. At Railsbank, Brad was responsible for growing the partner network and overseeing marketing efforts globally. Brad was instrumental in expanding the company to the US and SE Asia, and increasing MRR by 10x. The company was named Best Startup at Web Summit's MoneyConf during their tenure, and they closed deals with US and Australian banking partners. Brad also worked with the VP of Sales to improve sales cycles by 80%. In November 2019, Brad left Railsbank to co-found Cledara.

Cledara is a result of my life-long desire to start a company that focussed on helping people.After a few years in banking working on process modernization, I took that experience to a fintech startup where I was first exposed to the tension between fast growth, and the resulting chaos created by lack of processes and control - and the specific culprit identified was the number of software subscriptions teams required to fuel that growth...and how quickly the whole thing became unwieldy.
